Since its creation in 2017, Fondation Rémy Cointreau has been working to preserve cultural and human heritage by supporting general interest initiatives focused on promoting and passing on excellence in expertise.
By supporting the production of exceptional objects, handcrafted from materials gifted by the land, it extends the Group’s commitment to terroir, people and time.
The Fondation provides financial, technical and human support to exceptional craftsmen and to partners whose projects are aligned with the Fondation’s mission.
Fondation Rémy Cointreau’s commitment is to promote artisans who embody and perpetuate French heritage by sharing their excellent knowledge and know-how.
It encourages excellence in innovative and sustainable practices that favor local terroirs which strongly support and appreciate environmental issues.

Launched in 2025, the “Par la Main” (By Hand) podcast explores the world of fine crafts through the testimonies of the Fondation’s recipients.
In line with the missions of Fondation Rémy Cointreau, the podcast addresses the challenges, passions and successes of these exceptional craftsmen, highlighting the importance of transmission for the preservation of intangible cultural heritage.
The podcast also aims to encourage vocations among young people, promote the work of craftsmen and create a community of sharing and support for these exceptional skills.
A creator of materials and a visual artist, he explores the multiple possibilities offered by materials like wood and metal in his workshop. With the help of Fondation Rémy Cointreau, he was able to equip his workshop with a spray booth featuring an extraction wall.
CABINET MAKER
Specializing in the conservation and restoration of stained glass, she works primarily for Historic Monuments and Museums of France. She recently restored five bays of Notre Dame de Paris, and Fondation Rémy Cointreau helped her install a large-capacity kiln.
MASTER GLASSMAKER
She masters Lunéville hook embroidery. In her practice, she combines art embroidery with photography to create unique embroidered artworks. Fondation Rémy Cointreau supported her in acquiring a cutting workbench and an embroidery frame.
ART EMBROIDERER
She plays with the forms and curves of material through openwork porcelain. After working on the infinitely small, she now focuses on the monumental. Fondation Rémy Cointreau's support allowed her to integrate a lathe equipped with a diamond plate into her workshop.
CERAMICIST
After a career change, she chose to dedicate herself to basketry. Mastering traditional techniques and Japanese bamboo weaving, she was supported by Fondation Rémy Cointreau to acquire a Higotoriki. This Japanese machine allows her to automate bamboo preparation.
BASKET WEAVER
Second generation of art enamelers on metals in her family, she reinterprets colors, structures, and lights with a precise technique to create unique pieces. Lise sought Fondation Rémy Cointreau's help to obtain a welding table and a muffle furnace.
ART ENAMELER
He shapes sheet metals, bringing pieces and sculptures to life through a unique technique of hammering welds. He benefits from Fondation Rémy Cointreau's support for the acquisition of 45 stakes and 7 hammers produced at Lycée Vauban.
SCULPTOR AND COPPERSMITH
In his workshop-studio, he creates leather objects and furniture, combining them with other materials and savoir-faire like leather marquetry. Thanks to the Fondation Rémy Cointreau's support, Pierre was able to equip himself with a skiving machine.
LEATHER CRAFTSMAN, CASE MAKER
Founded by the three Stokowski brothers, the Atelier specializes in the art of blown glass, at the crossroads of artistic craftsmanship and design. With the help of Fondation Rémy Cointreau, the Atelier acquired a high-performance electric melting furnace, essential for creating luminaires and decorative objects.
GLASSBLOWERS
Ennobler of bio-inspired materials, he sublimes the living and non-living world. Electroplating allows him to enhance flora and fauna by covering them with a layer of metal. Fondation Rémy Cointreau supported him in setting up electrolytic copper plating stations.
GOLDSMITH OF THE LIVING
He discovered the ancestral Japanese technique of kanshitsu (dry lacquer) in Japan, which he almost exclusively works with today in his workshop. Fondation Rémy Cointreau’s support enabled him to obtain equipment for the treatment and application of lacquer.
VEGETAL LACQUERER
The Association des Ateliers des Maîtres d’Art et leurs Élèves, founded in 2002, forms part of the French government’s Maître d’art-Élèves scheme. Fondation Rémy Cointreau supports this association in its initiatives to promote and pass on expertise in excellence.
The Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d’Art was created in 2005. It implements the City of Paris policy of promoting creative professions: fashion, design, arts and crafts. Fondation Rémy Cointreau supports their initiatives as a patron of the Prix Savoir-faire en transmission awards.
The Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français carries out missions to serve French crafts and heritage. Its actions include schemes such as the Maîtres d’Art-Élèves title and the EPV label. The Prix Avenir Métiers d’Art has benefited from Fondation Rémy Cointreau’s patronage for several years.
Paris Ateliers, an association subsidized by the City of Paris, offers over 100 disciplines in arts and crafts, plastic arts, and digital arts. To equip its high-warp tapestry courses with adjustable tension frames, Fondation Rémy Cointreau provides its support to the association.
The Atelier de Recherche et de Création (ARC) of the National Manufactures is a French design incubator founded in 1964 by André Malraux. It collaborates with designers and craftspeople to design innovative furniture prototypes. Fondation Rémy Cointreau is a patron of the ARC for the acquisition of prototyping tools.
The Ville et Métiers d'Art association works for the development and perpetuation of traditional savoir-faire. Labeled communities commit to promoting crafts in their territories. Thus, Fondation Rémy Cointreau and the association share a common objective: to enhance and safeguard this artisanal heritage.
