Fondation Rémy Cointreau

Acting to preserve and pass on expertise in excellence

Since its creation in 2017, Fondation Rémy Cointreau has been working to preserve cultural and human heritage by supporting general interest initiatives to showcase and convey invaluable savoir-faire and expertise. By supporting the production of exceptional objects, handcrafted from materials gifted by the land, it extends the Group’s commitment to terroir, people and time. Its financial, technical and human support is aimed at artisans with new projects, particularly in regions where the Group already has a presence.

Our Manifesto

Fondation Rémy Cointreau’s commitment is to promote artisans who embody and perpetuate French heritage by sharing their excellent knowledge and know-how. It encourages excellence in innovative and sustainable practices that favor local terroirs which strongly support and appreciate environmental issues.

Les Maîtres D'art Et Leurs Élèves

The Association des ateliers des maîtres d’art et leurs élèves, founded in 2002, forms part of the French government’s Maître d’art-Élèves scheme. The foundation supports this association in its initiatives to promote and pass on expertise in excellence.

Bdmma

The Bureau du design, de la mode et des métiers d’art was created in 2005. It implements the city of Paris policy of promoting the creative professions: fashion, design, and arts and crafts. The foundation supports this initiative as a patron of the Prix Savoir-faire en transmission awards.

Institut Pour Les Savoir Faire Français

The Institut pour les savoir-faire français carries out missions to promote arts and crafts and heritage in France. Its actions are reflected in schemes such as the Maîtres d’art-Élèves title, the “Entreprise du patrimoine vivant” (EPV) label and many others. The foundation supports the Prix avenir métiers d’art award.

Talents Et Violon'celles

Talents & Violon’celles has a mission to safeguard, conserve, promote and enrich the musical and cultural heritage of the French school of string quartet instruments. The foundation has contributed for a second time for the restoration of a Bernardel cello.

Tns

The Théâtre national de Strasbourg (TNS) is a creative centre that champions contemporary writing, promotes diversity and makes theatre accessible to the widest possible audience. TNS, which is also a training centre, is supported by the foundation to promote theatre-related arts and crafts.

Ecole Saint Eloi

École Saint Éloi offers young people training for the CAP and BMA qualifications in the art of jewellery. It is mainly aimed at young people who have difficulty with the traditional education system. The foundation is committed to promoting apprenticeships in arts and crafts at the school.

Alix Dumas Portrait Min


Alix Dumas is a jeweller. She makes bespoke, precious jewellery using Fairmined certified materials created using traditional techniques. The foundation helped her to develop her studio.

Alain Sauter Portrait Min


Alain Sauter, a globemaker, has retrained to keep this dying art alive. All his globes are handmade in plaster reinforced with hessian for a wide range of customers. The foundation supported him in acquiring a large-format plotter.

Nelly Bichet Portrait Min


Nelly Bichet, a milliner, creates unique pieces in her workshop. She structures her creations according to the customer’s personality and morphology, using materials from luxury brand off-cuts and Italian felt. With the foundation’s help, she has been able to upgrade her heating press.

Alexandre Latour Portrait Min


Alexandra Latour is an embroiderer and promotes her know-how through her ethical and environmental commitments with her brand La veste en jean. It aims to make jeans a luxury product. The foundation supported her in acquiring a Cornely embroidery machine.

Julie Auzillon Portrait Min


Julie Auzillon is a craft bookbinder who has been developing contemporary binding techniques such as origata and rod binding since she set up her workshop. The foundation has helped her to develop new techniques.

Antonin Mongin Portrait Min


Antonin Mongin specialises in textiles. He is notable for his use of hair as a weaving material. He has set up protocols to ensure that the hair is compliant with both traditional and contemporary techniques. The foundation supported him in acquiring two machines.

François Xavier Richard Portrait Min


François-Xavier Richard specialises in creating wallpaper using period techniques from 18th and 19th century factories, as well as contemporary designs. The foundation helped him to buy a 3D printer.

Charlotte Font& Charlotte Romani Portrait Min


Charlotte Font
and Charlotte Romani
are tapestry and carpet weavers and work together using the Manufacture de la Savonnerie technique. In their workshop, they make carpets that become real works of art. The foundation has helped them acquire a loom.

Julien Vermeulen Portrait Min


Julien Vermeulen is a feather artist. He dyes, weaves and manipulates feathers to create unique pieces. To work on interior design projects, he asked for the foundation’s help in acquiring a tool suitable for large-format creations.

Sofia Shazak Portrait Min


Sofia

is a craft saddler and upholsterer. In Shazak, her workshop, she creates objects in plant-based leather. She uses traditional techniques to create utilitarian and decorative objects. The foundation supported her in acquiring a sewing machine.

Sylvain Fezzoli Portrait Min


Sylvain Fezzoli is a ceramist. He creates decorative objects and lamps in porcelain. His work is recognisable for his unique graphics and his motifs evocative of nature and the seabed. Following an accident, the foundation helped him to acquire tools adapted to his disability.

Samuel Latour is a sculptor specialising in wood turning and bronze. To create his pieces, he uses a wide range of techniques inspired by his travels, including chasing, turning and moulding. The foundation has enabled him to improve and optimise his studio.

Pierre Salagnac Portrait Min


Pierre Salagnac is a craft bronze worker, renowned for his work creating bronze bonsai trees. The foundation supported him for a second time, in acquiring new tools so that he can pass on his know-how to his son.

Manon Bouvier Portrait Min


Manon Bouvier specialises in straw marquetry. She creates original works in black rye straw and bamboo. The foundation supported her plan to expand her workshop by acquiring tools to train new apprentices.
